RCN - This is nursing

The Challenge

To shoot a film in two days without interrupting the work of three busy hospitals and to produce a film that was instrumental in launching the “This is nursing” campaign.

The Approach

Steve Barron and Stewart Till developed a creative approach based on the concept of seeing the work of nurses on a range of literally life to death experiences from a patient’s point of view in a single day. We sourced a cast of 130 nurses and extras to convey the many different aspects of what it is to be a nurse. Maverick Sabre’s “I Need” formed a powerful soundtrack.

Result

Shown with great success to nursing professionals at the Royal College of Nursing congress, and with plans to run in cinemas and across national football grounds, This Is Nursing is part of a major campaign.
