One Goal - DFID

This short promo was produced as part of a range of films we shot in Ghana in the first half of 2010. It has been used on African TV stations and on the web to promote the worldwide education campaign, 1Goal. The film uses the juxtaposition of a well known fun music track with the reality of the lives of children in Ghana but in a way that leaves the viewer both informed and uplifted. Voice-over is by the actor, playwright and social commentator Kwame Kwei-Armah, who donated his time to the project. The 1Goal film has been very well received particularly in Ghana and was used during the 2010 World Cup. Ghana sadly didn’t win the tournament, but the government is making huge strides in providing education for all.
