This film was commissioned by the Gatsby Trust to promote the work they are doing in reestablishing the cotton and textile industry in Tanzania. Lord Sainsbury believes that through a growing textile industry it would be able to help the residents of Tanzania left themselves out of poverty.
The film was shot in Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Mwanza, Mara and Arusha.
